Katihar: North East Frontier Railway will run special trains between Katihar and Anand Vihar terminals to reduce overcrowding during summer. North East Frontier Railway has decided to run summer special trains between Katihar and Anand Vihar terminals for the convenience of passengers during the summer rush.

Summer Special Train No. 05721/05722 (Katihar-Anand Vihar Terminal-Katihar) runs for ten journeys each in both directions. Waiting list passengers of other trains traveling on this route can take advantage of this special train to travel comfortably this summer.

Special train number. 05721 (Katihar-Anand Vihar Terminal) will depart Katihar at 17.25 hours every Wednesday from April 24 to June 26, 2024 and arrive Anand Vihar Terminal at 18.50 hours on Thursday. During the return journey, special train no. 05722 (Anand Vihar Terminal-Katihar) will depart Anand Vihar Terminal at 23.25 hours every Thursday from April 25 to June 27, 2024 and arrive Katihar at 01.30 hours on Saturdays.

This special train will have AC-3 tier coaches, sleeper class and general seats for the convenience of passengers. Both tours will pass through Naugachia, Barauni Jung, Chapra, Gorakhpur Jung, Gonda Jung, Chandausi Jung and Hapur Jung etc. and tickets will be available. An initiative has been taken to run summer special trains up to Jaipur. Apart from this, special trains will be run on some other routes based on the demand of the number of passengers.
