Bhaskar News The 119th birth anniversary of Pandit Raghunath Murmu, the father of Tupkadih Santhali Olchiki script, was celebrated by organizing an event at Pandit Raghunath Murmu Tribal College, Khutri. At the function, Preeti, Amrita, Neelam, Manisha, Sonali, Neha, Lakshmi, Reshma, Khushi etc presented a group and solo dance on various Santhali songs and received a lot of applause. College Principal Hiralal Murmu said that Pandit Raghunath Murmu had given special importance to three things throughout his life. These include uplifting the Santali society by creating a script, enriching language literature and making life meaningful by following the path of religion. Social worker Jagdish Marandi said that today’s young men and women need to be inspired by the life of Pandit Raghunath Murmu, only then our society will move towards upliftment. The President of the College Management Committee, Madhuri Marandi, said that if we imbibe what Pandit Murmu has given to the society, then the society will become strong and prosperous.
