Meghan Markle has been accused of thinking of herself as Princess Diana’s ‘heiress’ in an attempt to relaunch.
The Duchess of Sussex, who is currently promoting American Riviera Orchard as her new lifestyle brand, has added key Diana dates to her launch.
Royal writer Tom Quinn told the Mirror: “It is very significant that Meghan’s new American brand Riviera Orchard has been launched on the same date as Diana’s award – Meghan has always seen herself as Diane’s heir. She is seeing herself suffer because of the media, just as she feels Diana suffered, but on this side of the pond at least, there will be a lot of criticism that she is trying to cash in on Diana’s legacy, ” he said.
Quinn continues, “Like many Americans, Meghan can’t understand why anyone should see that making money from your connections is ever a bad thing. There are groans at Kensington Palace about Meghan’s new website – for all their modernisation, it ‘the role the family still don’t like what they see as boring money making and the fact that Meghan plans to sell kitchen and cooking equipment is crazy in the palace’s opinion.
