Mahbubnagar MLC by-election concluded

Hyderabad: With the resignation of Mahabubnagar local bodies MLC Kasireddy Narayana Reddy, the by-election to fill that position ended peacefully. ARO revealed that 100 percent voting was recorded. The representatives of the people exercised their right to vote across the entire Mahabubnagar district. Three candidates stood for this by-election.

Among them Manne Jeevan Reddy of Congress, Naveen Kumar Reddy of BRS and independent candidate Sudarshan Goud competed. A total of 1,439 voters including two MPs, 14 MLAs, three MLCs, 888 MPTCs, 83 ZPTCs and 449 councilors exercised their right to vote. CM Revanth Reddy exercised his right to vote at MPDO Kodangal office.

This by-election was taken by the ruling Congress party, BRS. The counting of the votes will take place on April 2 next month. In this election there will be a first choice vote, a second choice vote and a third choice vote. From the total number of votes cast, first choice votes are counted first. If the candidate gets one vote more than half of the first choice votes cast, that candidate wins the first round.

That is why the candidates of the main parties have applied to cast only a first choice vote as part of their campaign. After the election, the ballot boxes from all the polling centers were kept in the strong room of Mahbubnagar Government Boys Junior College.

After exercising his right to vote, CM Revanth Reddy held a meeting with activists in Kodangal. On this occasion a vote is very valuable. When the elections come, they think they will go on vacation and go on pilgrimage. I came to Kodangal to vote for any number of programs. I came to Kodangal to meet the activists. The people of Codangal were with me when I was in trouble. CM Revanth Reddy said that although I did not come to campaign, they won me over.
