The fate of 146 candidates in the fray for the Sikkim Assembly seats, including SKM Chief Minister and Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang, CM and former SDF chief Pawan Kumar Chamling, will be sealed in the EBM machine today. Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang told Amar Ojala that the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) government has served the people. This time the public decided to give 32 out of 32 seats and one Lok Sabha seat to SKM. We provided full help after the flood. Now tourism has become completely normal here. After the vote, Taman said something surprising that previously he used to vote for a candidate of another party. But for the first time he voted for himself. According to him, the biggest issue is the issue of development. The previous government did no work for 25 years. We do this work. He said, the public gave us a chance in 2019, but after that came the Corona outbreak. After that floods wreaked havoc in Sikkim. Despite these troubles, we did development work. An estimated 4.64 lakh voters, including 2,32,381 male voters and 2,31,545 women voters, will be eligible to exercise their franchise in the state.
