NEW DELHI: BJP has released a new list of candidates for the Lok Sabha Elections. Importantly, the BJP has given a ticket to renowned lawyer Ujjwal Nikam, who argued for the hanging of 26/11 Mumbai attack terrorist Kasab. Mumbai has announced Ujjwal Nikam as its candidate for the North Central Lok Sabha seat. In this constituency, she will fight against Mumbai Congress unit chief and Dharavi MLA Varsha Gaikwad.

Nikam was the Special Public Prosecutor in several high-profile cases including the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts and the trial of Ajmal Kasab, the only terrorist arrested after the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.
