The court in Kaithal, Haryana has sentenced a convict who was arrested for selling opium to 10 years imprisonment. This decision has been given by the court of ADJ Sangeeta Rai Sachdev. The offender has also been fined Rs 1.5 lakh. If he does not pay the fine, he will have to serve an additional sentence of 6 months. In this regard, a case under the NDPS Act was registered at the Rajound police station on 27 November 2020.
