Shambhu border is considered important for connecting Haryana with Punjab, from here the people of Himachal Pradesh along with Punjab come to Ambala and other cities of Haryana.

The issue of opening the closed Shambhu border between Haryana-Punjab has reached the Punjab-Haryana High Court. The traders of the state have complained about this to the Chief Justice of the High Court and the Election Commission of India (ECI). In this regard, traders have written that the closure of the Shambhu border from February 10 and now the closure of the railway track near Shambhu has affected the major markets of Ambala, Panchkula, Karnal and the surrounding areas. Especially traders of electrical sellers, jewellery, transporters and textile market business have claimed to have suffered losses of up to 70%.

Traders from major districts of Haryana jointly
