Purnia During the procession that took out on Thursday for Ram Nami, the entire city was seen in saffron color. The procession from Madhubani Darga temple led by Shri Ram Nami Shuba Yatra Committee started after 1:30 PM. More than 1.5 lakh devotees of Ram participated in the procession along with various organizations as well as various arahats. From Madhubani Durga Temple via Dollar House Chowk, Kachari, Municipal Corporation Chowk, RNsah Chowk, Khiru Chowk, Rajni Chowk, Line Bazaar and ended at City Kali Mandir beach. It took about 7 hours to cover the distance of nine km. The Ram Nami procession was attended by over 1.5 lakh devotees. People from various organizations including 20 arahats participated in the Shobha Yatra. During the Shobha Yatra, the 8.5 feet tall statue and 19 feet mace , on the lines of the statue of Lord Ram installed by the VHP in Ayodhya on Ramnavmi, remains the center of attraction for the people.
