Farzana Begum, an Indian citizen from Mumbai, is now fighting for the safety of her children in Pakistan. She refused to return to her native country and said her children’s lives were in danger. Farzana Begum, a resident of Mumbai, married Mirza Mobin Elahi, a Pakistani citizen, in Abu Dhabi in 2015. The couple later came to Pakistan in 2018. They have two children aged seven and six. Farzana Begum’s case came into the limelight when her husband was charged with harassment over a dispute over the custody of their children and some property in their name.

What did Farzana Begum say?

Farzana also denied her husband’s claim that he divorced her. Prajana said if the divorce is given, give the permission. Farzana said her life and that of her children were in danger due to property disputes in Pakistan. She is confined to her house in Rahman Garden of Lahore and her children are starving.

Farzana refused to go to her native country without her children and demanded that the Pakistani government provide security until the matter was resolved. Farzana claims they are conspiring to threaten her to return to India and take over the property. Mohsin Abbas, Farzana’s lawyer, said that Mahmouf Elahi is spreading rumors that Farzana’s visa has expired even though he still has her passport.
