For the first time in the history of the Council of Common Interests, the Minister for Foreign Affairs has replaced the Minister for Finance.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif approved the reorganization of the Council of Common Interests, and the notification was issued. According to the notification, the eight-member council will be chaired by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.

According to the notice, the council will include the four prime ministers as members. Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar will join the Council of Common Interests as a member.

Among other members, Defense Minister Khawaja Mohammad Asif, Minister Safran Engineer Amir Makam are also included as members of the Muhaddith Joint Council. The Council of Common Interests came into existence from 21 March 2024.
