KARACHI: IG Sindh Police Ghulam Nabi Memon has set up a provincial task force against Gatka, Mawa, Mainpuri and other drugs.
According to the order issued by IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon, the Additional IGC CTD will be the Chairman of the Task Force and other members will include DIG Special Branch, DIG Investigation, DIG Headquarters and A. IG operations will.
The task force members will form teams led by SP in the districts and the state task force will work against gatka, mawa, mainpuri and narcotics.

The task force can call for assistance from any police unit for raids and the investigation will also be monitored by the task force after registering the case.
In case of a successful raid, the department will take action against everyone from concerned SSP to SHO.
Two days ago, in the first meeting chaired by IG Sindh Police Ghulam Nabi Memon, he ordered the reinstatement of the anti-narcotics task force.
In the meeting, the current situation of law and order, police security plans including anti-crime, police strategy and action plan against organized crime and other serious crimes were considered and necessary instructions were given to strengthen the investigation department.
Ghulam Nabi Memon said that there is no place for black sheep in the police department and all SSPs should ensure their presence in their respective government offices between 10 am and 2 pm.
He said that SSPs should not only hold scheduled meetings with the common people during their presence in the office, but their grievances should also be redressed in a timely manner.
