Mahima Delhi (name changed) was pregnant for 3 months but did not know about the pregnancy because she was having non-stop periods. When he felt heaviness in his stomach, his family members would think he had gas. An elderly woman who lives in her neighborhood advised her to visit a gynecologist. When she was checked by the doctor, she turned out to be pregnant. After 6 months she gave birth to a healthy baby.

Every woman’s pregnancy is different. There are no periods during pregnancy. But sometimes in some pregnancies, periods last for a few months and the woman does not even realize that she is pregnant.

There can be many reasons for bleeding during pregnancy. This is normal in some cases but in some circumstances it can be dangerous.

Sometimes the baby does not develop properly in the placenta.

When a woman is pregnant, a placenta develops in the womb, which provides nutrients and oxygen to the fetus through the mother’s blood. It is a temporary organ that attaches to the lining of the womb and connects the umbilical cord to the baby.

Dr Ritu Sethi, gynecologist at Max Hospital Gurugram, says when the placenta does not attach properly to the uterus or the pregnancy does not develop properly in the uterus, then the woman experiences bleeding. or notice during her period after conception and she does. It doesn’t help that she’s pregnant.

Bleeding from the baby’s sac as well

Dr Huma Ali, a gynecologist at Sir Gangaram Hospital, Delhi, says that menstruation comes during pregnancy even when the amniotic sac does not form a strong connection with the uterus due to lack of cells.

An amniotic sac is a sac that forms in the womb after 12 weeks of pregnancy. This bag contains amniotic fluid which protects the baby. The embryo later develops in this sac itself. Whenever this amniotic sac slips out of place, sometimes blood accumulates in the uterus and sometimes blood starts coming out of the uterus.

Dr Huma Ali says that in some women the amniotic sac is small in size and does not completely cover the uterus. With this, the lining of the uterus begins to prepare for the menstrual process again.

Women cannot recognize an ectopic pregnancy

Pregnancy usually occurs in the womb. There are ovaries on both sides of the uterus which connect it to the fallopian tube. Every month, after ovulation, ie after menstruation, an egg called an ovum is released from the ovary, which is fertilized in the fallopian tube and reaches the uterus.

But sometimes this fertilized egg gets stuck in the fallopian tube itself because the embryo starts to develop in this tube. This is called an ectopic pregnancy or tubal pregnancy.

The fallopian tubes are 4 to 5 inches long and 0.2 to 0.6 inches wide. When the fetus begins to grow, the risk of rupture of the fallopian tube increases. If a woman has such a pregnancy, the lining of the uterus remains loose for periods. Even in this situation, women bleed for several months.

Periods even during molar pregnancy

Molar pregnancy is a rare symptom. In this the woman becomes pregnant but a fetus is not formed. There is a change in the body, the stomach comes out but that is a tumor. In this condition there is also continuous spotting or bleeding.

In this the trophoblast develops in a remarkable manner. Trophoblasts are the cells that form the outer surface of the blastocyst. In simple language, the umbilical cord does not form and a tumor begins to form in the uterus. This happens only during the first stage of pregnancy.

It is caused by an abnormal egg and a normal sperm or an abnormal sperm and a normal egg. This pregnancy is removed through a suction evacuation technique. If carelessness is taken then the uterus can break.

Positive pregnancy test results

As soon as you become pregnant, a special type of hormone is produced in the body that is only found in the body during pregnancy. Its name is human beta chorionic gonadotropin (HCG). This hormone can be easily identified through blood and urine tests. Even if a woman is pregnant with her period, this hormone is still found on the pregnancy pack.

If a woman conceives in the fallopian tube outside the uterus, then a light line appears on the pregnancy test card instead of a deep one.

A pregnancy kit can only detect pregnancy, so after the test is positive, a blood test and an ultrasound should also be carried out at the hospital. The development of the fetus is seen in the serum HCT beta test (blood test). If the HCG level in the blood test is 1,500 mIU/ml, it shows that the pregnancy is healthy. Along with this, the position of the baby is known in ultrasound.

In a normal pregnancy, HCG increases by 60% in 48 hours.

Some women test with a pregnancy kit immediately after having sex, and the result will be negative. In fact the egg only becomes fertile after ovulation. After 10 days, HCG hormone is produced in the body. Therefore, for accurate results, the test should only be done after 1-2 days after missing the period.
