Guwahati: The Guwahati Jal Board has announced that there will be interruptions in water supply on May 1 and 2 due to scheduled maintenance work on the main pipeline. The disruption will affect all District Metering Areas (DMAs) below the Leechubagan Reservoir.

The board urged its consumers to prepare for disruptions in the water supply and expressed regret for the inconvenience caused.

In addition, flushing operations throughout the DMA below the Ramsahill Reservoir were delayed due to a leak detected in the distribution network. The affected areas include Kharghuli, Joupur, Ramsahill Hirimbapur, Silpukhuri, Pension Para, Karnachal Road, and Nabagraha Downside.
