In such a situation, the soldier’s family can take advantage of the benefits of the central government health program.

An office memo in this regard was published by the EHS section of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on April 29. This means that if a soldier is a CGHS beneficiary and he himself is posted where CGHS facilities are not available. Although his family lives where there is a CGHS. In such a situation, the soldier’s family can take help of the CGHS facility. This facility will be available if the beneficiary has deposited his contribution on time.

The government has also set a deadline for preparing ‘ABHA’

The ‘Ministry of Health and Family Welfare’ recently issued an order to link the identity card of the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) beneficiaries to the Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA). CGHS beneficiaries have started linking their identity cards with ABHA. The government has also fixed a target date for the preparation of ‘ABHA’. This deadline was extended by three months (90 days) from June 30. At the same time, the time period for linking CGHS ID to Ayushman Bharat Health Account has also been extended. It was increased by 120 days. That means all beneficiaries will now have to link CGHS and ABHA within 120 days from June 30.

The beneficiaries were given 30 days time

Earlier, the central government had earlier given 30 days time to the beneficiaries to link CGHS with ABHA. Subsequently, the Director General of Central Government Health Schemes in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare issued a new Office Memorandum ‘OM’ on April 15. In doing so, it was said to extend the time limit for the execution of the ‘Abha’ certificate. Also, the time period for linking CGHS ID with Ayushman Bharat Health Account has also been extended. To help the CGHS beneficiaries in this work, kiosks are being set up in all the health centers. These kiosks will start operating by June 30.
