A dead body found in a major canal near Surajpur at Sivanimalwa in Narmadapuram district has been identified. The deceased was identified as Amritlal Chaure (45), resident of Sankheda Naka, Old Itarsi. The deceased had been missing since the night of 14 April. His missing report was submitted by his family at Itarsi police station. On Monday night, his body was found in a large canal near Surajpur. His two legs have been found tied. The news of the dead body created a sensation. As soon as the information was received, SDOP, the officer in charge of the station, arrived at the spot along with the police and pulled the body out of the water. In the preliminary investigation, it is suspected that the person was murdered and the body thrown into the canal. However, the police are only talking about saying something after the post mortem report. The body was kept at the Community Health Center at night. The police inquired about the person at Itarsi, Pathrauta, Dolariya police station. The missing person of the deceased was found at Itarsi police station. Afterwards the police contacted the family.
