Govt dismisses allegations of sexual harassment of award-winning CRPF chief Arjuna Achi-News

The Central Government has started the process of removing the former Chief Sports Officer from the rank of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the CRPF on allegations of sexual harassment. This news is known through sources. Some women serving in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) had accused him of sexual harassment.

According to official sources, after the Home Ministry accepted the recommendations of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), the dismissal notice was sent to Deputy Inspector General Khajan Singh. According to sources, a final order will be issued in this regard after considering the reply received from the accused within 15 days. However, Khajan Singh did not respond to this.

Khajan Singh, who was found ‘guilty’ in the CRPF investigation of sexual harassment, is currently posted in Mumbai. A dismissal notice was served against him recently. The CRPF headquarters has received the inquiry report of the internal committee and forwarded it to the UPSC and the Ministry of Home Affairs for appropriate disciplinary action. According to sources, the UPSC and the Home Ministry have initiated the process of sacking Khajan Singh.

Khazan Singh has been charged with two counts of sexual harassment. In one of these cases, he was given a notice of dismissal. Another case is being considered, sources said. Khajan Singh was serving as the Chief Sports Officer of the Central Reserve Police Force, the country’s largest paramilitary force.
