Billions of cash recovered from minister’s house in Jharkhand! Leaked Secret Letter ED Seizes Rs 35 Crore Cash With Secret Letter From Jharkhand Minister’s Staff – News18 Bangla Achi-News

Jharkhand: ED counted the money recovered from Jharkhand minister’s house for 12 hours. 6 cash counting machines were taken. The ED officials said that Rs 35.23 crore in cash was recovered from the house of minister Alamgir Alam, a housekeeper. Not only was huge cash recovered but also ‘secret letters’.

Interestingly, a copy of the letter sent by the ED-E to the Jharkhand government informing them of action against the accused was found from the house of the accused. One of the senior officials of the European Department said that the official letter was ‘very sensitive’ and ‘confidential’. There are indications that sensitive state government documents are leaking.

It happened exactly one year ago. On May 5, 2023, ED sent a letter to the Chief Secretary of the Government of Jharkhand. Under Section 66(2) of the PML Act, 2022, information is provided about Virendra Kumar Ram, Additional Chief Engineer, Rural Development Special Zone and Rural Works Department. In the letter, ED informed the state government about departmental ‘corruption’ and sought appropriate action under the IPAC and the Prevention of Corruption Act.

A copy of that letter was found from the accused’s house during the ED raid. From this incident, the ED feels that the Sarkhand government leaked the letter to help the accused. They claim, that it is ‘intentional; let go

In the letter, the ED said, “Investigation under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act 2002 will be conducted against Birendra Kumar Ram and others. Anti-Corruption Bureau, Jamshedpur and in the final report the matter was initiated under Section 7(A) of the Prevention of Corruption (PC) Act, 2018 into FIR No. 13/19 dated 13 November 2019. Report No. 01/2020 dated 11 January has ‘to be presented by ACB Jamshedpur.” The Electoral Department also said that vehicles, cash, jewelery and other incriminating documents were recovered during searches at 30 locations in February 2023 during PMLA searches. Virendra Kumar Ram got all these properties through corruption and other criminal activities.
