Kamakhya: The General Manager of North East Frontier Railway visited the Kamakhya-Goalpara-New Bangaigaon section to review the progress of dualisation, electrification and other development works. General Manager of North East Frontier Railway Shri Chetan Kumar Srivastava extensively inspected the Kamakhya-New Bangaigaon (Via Goalpara) section under Rangia Division. During this visit the General Manager was accompanied by Shri Neeraj Gupta, Regional Railway Manager, Rangia, along with senior officials of the Headquarters and Divisions.

The General Manager inspects the stations along the route as well as inspecting the progress of the dualization and electrification work in the section and the safety equipment at the railway stations. At the station he interacted with the railway officials and took feedback on various issues and inquired about their awareness of various safety related items. The General Manager inspected the window trailing. He visited important areas such as organizing yard and training yard, small and large bridge, running room, health unit. He made extensive inspections of the ongoing activities and examined the development plans of these stations.
He also inspected the new station building, crew concourse, foot over bridge, platform and various passenger facilities. He also supervised the redevelopment of New Bangaigaon station. The new Bangaigaon station under the North East Frontier Railway will be redeveloped under the Amrut Bharat Station Scheme to provide better, additional and expanded passenger facilities. Upgrades have already started. The aim of the General Manager’s visit was to review the progress of the various development works, evaluate facilities at different locations, interact with officials and discuss plans for infrastructure development and business expansion in the region. His positive assessment of the ongoing work reflected the dedicated efforts of the North East Frontier Railway to provide passengers with a safe, efficient and comfortable travel experience.
