Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Amanatullah Khan was questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for 13 hours on Thursday, April 18. Amanatullah reached the ED office at 11 am. They came out late at night around 1 am.
After leaving the ED office, Amanatullah said that I have come on the instructions of the Supreme Court. The investigating agency inquired and recorded my statement. However, earlier news had come that ED had arrested Amanatullah after questioning him.
Amanatullah Khan has been accused of illegally recruiting 32 people as Chairman of the Delhi Waqf Board. Along with this, he illegally rented out many properties of the Delhi Waqf Board.
The PAA MLA has also been accused of misappropriating Delhi Waqf Board funds. The then CEO of the Delhi Waqf Board had made a statement regarding such illegal recruitment.
During the investigation, cash was recovered from the locations of Amanatullah’s close associates. A diary was also found during the raid in the house of Amanatullah’s close relatives, in which the transactions of Amanatullah worth crores of rupees in the country and abroad were mentioned.

On November 12, ED had arrested 3 accused in the corruption case related to the Delhi Waff Board case. The names of those who have been arrested are Zishan Haider, Javed Imam, Dawood Naseer. All of them were said to be close to AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan.
Amanatullah Khan is an MLA from Okhla Assembly in Delhi. He has been accused of making illegal appointments on the Delhi Waqf Board.

In this case, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) had questioned Amanatullah in September 2022. On this basis, ACB raided four places and recovered around Rs 24 lakh in cash. Apart from this, two illegal and unlicensed pistols were found. Cartridges and ammunition were also found. Amanatullah was later arrested. He was later released on bail on 28 December 2022.

- Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is currently in Tihar Jail. ED had arrested him on March 21 in the Delhi Liquor Policy case. Kejriwal is on remand till 23 April.
- ED had arrested former Delhi minister Satyendar Jain on 31 May 2022. This arrest was made on the basis of the FIR registered by CBI on 24 August 2017. It was alleged that Jain had created or bought several shell companies in Delhi. They also transferred black money worth Rs 16.39 crore from three Kolkata-based hawala operators through 54 shell companies.
- Delhi’s former deputy CM Manish Sisodia was arrested by ED on March 10, 2023. Before this, he was arrested by CBI on 26 February. Both agencies have made Sisodia an accused in the Delhi liquor scam case. CBI has made a charge against Sisodia under the Anti-Corruption Act and ED under the Money Laundering Act.
