Abu Dhabi: The Emirates Cricket Board has started an investigation to see if Usman Khan’s decision to show his intention to play for Pakistan is against the agreement signed with the United Arab Emirates Cricket Board.

According to a report by leading cricket website Cricinfo, the Emirates Cricket Board is not only looking into possible contract violations with him, but also his status as a local UAE player in the ILT20 and T10 leagues. Also evaluates participation.

Sources said that the final decision regarding the deal will be taken in the next two weeks, if the offense is proven, Usman Khan could face a ban related to playing league cricket in the United Arab Emirates.
