Darshan of Vishnu-Lakshmi while drilling a well! History takes us back 400 years – News18 Kannada Achi-News

GURUGRAM: A unique event (Ancestors Rising) has come as a surprise when 400-year-old idols of Lord Vishnu and Lakshmi were found while digging soil for drilling a well.

Earth was being moved for digging a borehole at Mohammadpur Baghanki in Manesar, Gurugram on Monday. Banani Bhattacharya, Deputy Director of the State Department of Archeology and Museums, said that three idols were found at a depth of about 15 feet and were made of bronze.

The revival that excited the locals!
The idol of Vishnu is about 1.5 feet tall and is in a standing posture. But the idol of Lakshmi is in a sitting posture which is slightly shorter at 1 feet. Both are believed to have elaborate carvings and designs. The third idol depicts Vishnu and Lakshmi seated together. The excavation has created excitement among the local people, who feel that the statues are a symbol of divine blessing.

Heavy security is in place
Many people from the neighboring villages come to the place to see the idols and offer their prayers. The police have secured the area to prevent any damage to the artefacts or the area.
