Islamabad – Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad Muhammad Sarfraz Virk on Thursday directed the subordinates to ensure smooth traffic flow in the capital to facilitate road users and commuters. CTO expressed these views while chairing a meeting held at Traffic Headquarters following the orders of Islamabad Capital Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr Akbar Nasir Khan. The meeting was attended by zonal DSPs and other senior officers. He said that the IG Islamabad has asked the traffic officials to remain active in maintaining smooth traffic flow in the federal capital. He said the meeting discussed intensifying clashes on vehicles with tinted glasses, fancy number plates and unauthorized speeding further during the last ten days of Ramadan and taking effective measures in terms of traffic arrangements. In addition, it was also decided to depute additional personnel to resolve parking issues outside the city’s main commercial centers for the convenience of citizens who come to shop during the last ten days of Ramadan, along with issuing special directives to DSPs for improving traffic flow during a rush.
