A series of gunshots, possibly from an automatic weapon, then ring out in the area as the person filming takes cover behind a doorway. The exchange of fire lasts about 10 seconds before it stops.
The exact constituency where the shots were fired is still unclear, as Manipur consists of two parliamentary seats – Manipur Inner and Manipur Outer.
The voting process for the Inner Manipur Lok Sabha seat and parts of Outer Manipur took place amid tight security measures. Ethnic tensions have plagued Manipur in the past year, especially between the Mayites, who live mainly in the Imphal Valley, and the Kuki-Zu tribal community.
