Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Police raided four places including a factory and recovered bhang and machinery from there. A person was also arrested while a search is being carried out for two other people in connection with the same. On the direction of DCP (zone-1) Vinod Meena, teams led by inspector Devendra Markam and SI Alok Raghav raided four places in Airport area, Malharganj and Rajendra Nagar.
Additional DCP (zone-1) Alok Sharma informed the Free Press that a team led by SI Raghav raided the house of one Satish Yadav in Dharmraj Colony for the first time and recovered a bhang preparation machine from there. Satish was also arrested from there. Satish has been booked thrice under the relevant section of the Customs Act in the past.
Later, the team raided Narsingh Yadav’s house in Tamboli Bakhal area under the jurisdiction of Malharganj police station and recovered more than 13 kilograms of bhang illegally stored there. Neither Narsingh nor his son Ankit were in the house. After recovering the bhang, they were booked and a search has begun for them. The two accused had been booked for their part in a Foreigners Act case in the past. After that the team raided the house of one Nilesh Yadav but he was not there.
Inspector Markam’s team reached the CAT Road and raided a closed factory. The accountant Shumbham was instructed to open the lock. Police found that bhang products were being made at the factory. Machine, raw material, finished material and packaging material were recovered. The police are also checking the factory’s licence.
