Delhi and Mumbai left Washington DC behind and joined the 50 richest cities in the world. This ranking published by Henley & Partners highlights India’s economic progress and urban development.
The number of high net worth individuals is growing rapidly in both of these cities. According to the report, New York is at the top of the list of the richest cities. Its total assets are more than 3 trillion dollars. This city has 3,49,500 millionaires, 744 with wealth of more than ten million dollars and 60 billionaires.
This is the city of technology giants like Air BnB, Apple and Netflix. Mumbai and Delhi are ranked 24th and 37th in the list respectively. Last year, along with Delhi and Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata and Hyderabad were also included in the list. This time on the list, America’s Bay Area is in second place, Japan’s Tokyo in third place, Singapore in fourth place and London in the UK in fifth place.
