Chandankiyari The Chadak Puja cum Bhokta festival was celebrated with pomp on Monday at the old Shiva temple located in Chandankiyari Basti. On Sunday evening, after worshiping at Dulal Dam, Shiva devotees reached the Shiva temple dancing and singing and offering worship. A camp was organized for light refreshments for the faithful in the evening. In the morning, Shiva devotees showed their devotion by tattooing their back with a pointed iron and swinging in the air on a peg about 40 feet high. During this, Prasad was distributed among the devotees. In addition, a Chhau dance cultural program was organized during the night. Many people had come from far places to see Chandankiyari Chadak Puja.
