The City of Calgary is once again delaying some residential street sweeping operations due to spring snow.
The snow began to fall Monday night and continued intermittently on Tuesday, leading to the postponement of street sweeping in the Citadel (West), Legacy and Coventry Hills (north and east sections) communities that day.
On Wednesday, the city said that residential street sweeping operations in the Citadel community (southern section) on April 17 have also been postponed.
“Snow and ice accumulations can create challenges for our sweeping equipment,” a news release explained.
As a result, sweeping operations originally scheduled for Wednesday will be rescheduled for June.
All other sweeps scheduled for Wednesday continue.
