BJP on Tuesday released the list of 21 candidates for the Odisha Assembly elections. Former Union Coal Minister Dilip Ray’s name is also included in this list. While releasing the list of candidates for the Odisha Assembly elections, the party has made Dilip Ray the candidate from Roklala district.
The overcoats who left the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) and joined the BJP were also given tickets. These leaders include the names of Amarendra Dash (Jagatsinghpur), Dambru Sisa (Chitrakonda), Kalilash Kulesika (Lakshmipur), Bhadav Hansdah (Saraskana) and Jagannath Nudruka (Bissam Cuttack).
Dilip Ray will contest from Raulkala against Odisha Labor Minister and BJD candidate Shraddha Nayak. The party also replaced two candidates from the previous list. According to this, Tapas Ranjan Maratha will contest from Ranpur in place of Surma Padi and Chaitanya Nandivali will contest from Putanji in place of Chaitanya Hental. BJP has also included two women candidates Surma Padi and Sanjali Murmu in the list of candidates.
Let us tell you that till now BJP has declared 131 candidates for 147 assembly seats of Odisha. The party had earlier announced candidates for 21 Lok Sabha seats in the state. Let us tell you that the Odisha Assembly and Lok Sabha elections will be held in the state simultaneously in four phases on May 13, 20, 25 and June 1. Apart from this, BJP has also announced its candidates for the Telangana and Uttar Pradesh Assembly by-elections.
