BJP workers announced a 12-hour protest on Monday in West Bengal’s Matigara area of ​​Siliguri. BJP workers alleged that they were attacked by TMC members on Sunday. It was only after this attack that BJP decided to protest. The protesters blocked NH-31 for several hours. They demonstrated their protest by burning tires outside the Matigara Police Station.

BJP worker Nand Kishore, who experienced abuse from TMC members, spoke to the media about the incident. He said that he along with other BJP workers were going to his house after the April 26 polls. During this period some of the TMC employees tried to misbehave with him. He was also attacked for supporting the BJP.
Talking to the media, he said, “After the voting was over, we walked peacefully towards our house. They suddenly came and started abusing me because of my support for the BJP. We complained about it to the village head, but no action was taken. Yesterday, about 25-30 people came to my house and started attack seven people were injured.
