Ahead of the third phase of Lok Sabha elections 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given an exclusive interview to the country’s largest news network ‘Network 18’. In this interview, Prime Minister Modi explained that Rahul Gandhi’s idea of property distribution is an urban Naxalite ideology. This interview with PM Modi will be telecast on Monday at 9 pm on various channels of Network 18 group. In this interview with News18, PM Modi made it clear that Congress is recommending inheritance tax, but BJP government will not allows it to be implemented.
Responding to a question asked in an interview, Prime Minister Modi said that ‘Mahashya’ gave an interview in America, where he raised the issue of inheritance tax. About 55 percent of it is taxed. I am talking about development and heritage and they are talking about stealing your property from that heritage. His story is that he only did what was said in the manifesto. It is my responsibility to tell my compatriots that the country is being taken in this direction. But it is my responsibility to tell you the truth based on truth and importance.
PM Modi clarified BJP’s position on inheritance tax in his interview and said that the ideology of Bharatiya Janata Party is clear. ‘What the Bharatiya Janata Party intends to do is written in our manifesto. How does this idea come to your mind that we will continue with his plan? The BJP’s ideology is clear. We lead the country with our manifesto and our actions. Don’t force his great ideas on us,” PM Modi told News18, referring to Congress leader Sam Pitroda’s recent comments.
PM Modi was also asked about Rahul Gandhi’s statement on caste census or ‘X-ray’ socio-economic survey, which he said would look at which classes are backward and distribute wealth accordingly. It is worth noting that Rahul Gandhi commented on April 24 that those who call themselves ‘patriots’ are afraid of the ‘X-ray’ of a caste-based census.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, ‘X-ray means attacking every house. If a woman hides gold where she keeps grain, she will be X-rayed. Jewelery will be confiscated. Land records will be checked and redistributed. This Maoist ideology has never helped the world. This is a complete urban Naxal mentality,’ he said, adding that the Jamaat, which usually writes, is silent about the manifesto even after 10 days, because it helps them.
