New Delhi: Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, who is in jail under the arrest of ED in Delhi Fraud, has been seeking bail for many days, but so far he has not been granted bail. The Enforcement Directorate has claimed that Kejriwal took a different route in this background. Kejriwal is accused of eating too many sweets in jail for medical bail.
ED is fed up with Kejriwal’s plan
Despite having Type 2 diabetes, Kejriwal eats sugary foods like sweets and mangoes every day. The ED told the court that Sugar was seeking bail mainly on medical grounds.
Court direction to prison authorities
The ED issued a statement before Special Judge Kaveri Baweja for CBI and ED cases. In this background, the court has ordered Tihar jail authorities to submit a report on this matter including Kejriwal’s diet chart.
Kejriwal has approached the court seeking permission to contact his doctor through video conference due to fluctuating sugar levels. The judge instructed the concerned authorities to submit a report by tomorrow and the court is likely to resume the hearing.
