Hazel Boswell, owner of the cafe, said: “The Midge Bite is the best chapter of my 20 year career in hospitality. This is the perfect location. It is a pleasure to serve customers who come from far and wide, ranging from our neighbors and regular customers throughout the year to visitors from the far reaches of the world. It is a busy and happy place, a real oasis on people’s long journeys. I hope to help the new owner make the best possible transition to trading seamlessly.”

Graham + Sibbald described the cafe as having a Scandinavian and “modern rustic” feel, with natural wood fixtures and fittings “bringing the outside in”. He pointed to the “warm welcoming atmosphere” of its indoor and outdoor seating area “for those sunny days in the Highlands”.

Emily Hewitson of Graham + Sibbald, which is inviting bids of around £325,000 for the freehold of the property, said: “Situated on the world famous North Coast 500, The Midge cafe is a fantastic business for the operator right to take it. forward
