New Delhi: Another fresh petition has been filed in the Uttar Pradesh court to declare the Taj Mahal a Shiva temple. A recent petition was filed in the Agra court in UP seeking to declare the Taj Mahal as the Tejo Mahalaya Hindu temple. In the petition filed on Wednesday, the petitioner has sought an immediate halt to all Islamic activities currently taking place at the Taj Mahal. Meanwhile, the Agra court will hear this petition on April 9.
Advocate Ajay Pratap Singh, who is the president of Yogeshwar Srikrishna Janmasthan Seva Sangh Trust and Kshatriya Shaktipeeth Vikas Trust, filed this allegation. In this context, the petitioner has cited various historical books to support his claim that the structure has a history before it was recognized as the Taj Mahal. If this is true, many petitions have already been filed to declare the Taj Mahal a Shiva Temple. Some of these petitions are rejected while others are pending.
