Due to the dry westerly wind coming from Rajasthan entering Bihar, the heat started to scorch. Sheikhupura and Mithihari were in the grip of a heat wave for the first time this season. The Patna Meteorological Center has issued a heatwave warning at one or two places in 14 districts on April 17 and 18. Also, on April 19 and 20, hot and humid weather is expected in many parts of the country.

For the first time on Tuesday, maximum in 13 districts of the state including Patna
