Quebec City police (SPVQ) said three people were arrested Monday in connection with an alleged assault in the Beaufort district.
SPVQ spokeswoman Sandra Dion says a 911 call was made at 4:38 p.m. about a “disturbance” near a shopping center.
When the officers arrived at the scene, they located a victim who had taken refuge in one of the businesses.
The person gave the police a description of the suspect vehicle, which was located near the shopping center.
The police then arrested the three people inside.
Two men and a woman were arrested for assault causing injury, uttering threats and forcible confinement.
Police said the force’s forensics and K9 units were dispatched to the scene, and the investigation is ongoing.
