Most households use butter or margarine for breakfast, but do you know which of the two is healthier for you and your family?

A large number of people are unaware of the difference between butter and margarine. Today we will tell you which of the two is better for your health, butter or margarine.

According to the BBC report, butter may be high in saturated fat, but margarine is a highly processed food, so it’s not easy to know which is healthier.

Long before margarine hit the scene in the early 20th century, butter was widely used for centuries. Tshuva is also an important part of the diet.

However, in the middle of the 20th century, many people began to use margarine instead of butter, even though it was accepted at the time that all types of fat were harmful to health.

How to make butter and margarine

To make butter, first heat the milk and then strain it to separate the cream or butter.

The cream is then cooled and churned to produce butter and the remaining liquid is called buttermilk. Sometimes salt is also added to it.

Whereas margarine is obtained by mixing oil with water. The glove of these two together produces a solid product, after which additional ingredients such as emulsifiers and colors are added.

Historically, margarine makers used hydrogen – water – to convert liquid oils into solid fats and make them more spreadable.

But they soon realized that it produced ‘mono’ or ‘trans’ fat, a type of unsaturated fat known to cause heart disease and other negative health effects.
