Achi news desk-
Although Perth locals may be in a hurry to leave the city this long weekend, those who choose to stay are treated to good weather and may even choose to do their Easter egg hunt on the beach.
The same cannot be said for the Kimberley, however, as the region is set to experience a severe heat wave extending from Saturday to Monday.
The temperature for the area will vary from 33-41 degrees.
The Bureau of Meteorology is urging those in the Kimberley to:
- Find a place to keep cool, such as your home, library, community center or shopping centre.
- Close your windows and draw blinds, curtains or awnings early in the day to keep the heat out of your home.
- If available, use fans or air conditioners to keep cool.
Lucky Perth seems to have escaped the scorching heat with a tamer outlook.
The rest of Saturday is forecast to be a mild 29 degrees and partly cloudy as Sunday continues this trend, mostly sunny and perfect beach weather.
Monday is forecast to reach 28 degrees, sunny with a ‘cold’ minimum of 14 degrees.
The rest of the week continues to be perfect beach weather for Perth and those looking to extend their long weekend.
