Swati completed her primary education at Municipal Corporation School. He studied till 10th standard in Mumbai. Unable to afford the expenses in Mumbai, they moved to Solapur. After that, Swati passed 12th from Bharti University, Solapur. After completing his graduation from Bashundhara College, Solapur, he did his Masters in Geography from Walchand College. While studying, he came to know about UPSC at an event and decided to become an officer by taking the UPSC exam. Struggling with the situation, Swati started studying. He failed the UPSC exam four times. However, he was not tired of failure and kept going. “I prioritized solutions over problems and worked on them,” says Swati. Recently the result of this exam was announced and Swati passed in the fifth attempt.

Swati Rathore, the first girl from Banjara community in Solapur, has cleared the UPSC examination. Her mother said, they are proud of Swati’s success. Swati said, “My parents taught me very hard. Sometimes my mother mortgaged the gold, but she didn’t allow it to be a problem in her studies.” It’s like a movie!
