According to the survey, in 2000, among the unemployed in India, youth constituted 54.2 percent. Which increased to 65.7 percent in 2022. Currently, 62.2 percent of the educated unemployed are young men and 76.7 percent are young women. However, between 2000 and 2019, the unemployment rate in the country decreased, but due to the Covid epidemic, this rate began to increase again. Several opposition leaders including Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge criticized the Narendra Modi government after the release of the report. The report notes that India’s unemployment problem is increasingly concentrated among educated youth. However, said the country’s economic adviser, it is not right to think that the government must intervene for every social or economic problem. Along with the government, the various organizations of the country and those involved in the commercial sector must also come forward equally to solve the problem of unemployment.
