He said, “There is no problem with the opposition. There is no ground under their feet. People rejected them. The country will move forward only under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He has been working continuously for the good of the country and people for the last 10 years. So this election is very important to elect Narendra Modi as Prime Minister for the third time.”

Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, Chief Minister Prof Dr Manik Saha said this at a major election rally organized at Panisagar in Uttara district in support of Bharatiya Janata Party nominated candidate for East Tripura constituency, Kriti Singh Debbarma. This election meeting was organized on the initiative of BJP’s Panisagar mandal.
Addressing the meeting, the Chief Minister said, “Financial approval has already been given for the establishment of a judicial court, a new block building and a degree college in Panisagar.” Implementation of these projects will begin soon. The upcoming 18th Lok Sabha elections are very important. It would be a mistake to think it is like any other election. We all need to take this election seriously. Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently addressed Swami Vivekananda Maidan in Agartala. He said to go to the people and tell them that the Prime Minister has sent us to seek your blessings. During the last 10 years, he has done various works for the benefit of the people of the country. What it did not do for the overall development of people.

Prime Minister Dr. Saha also said, “In 2018, we were freed from the misrule of the Left under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Against which there were a number of charges including murder, terrorism, rape, arson. The Prime Minister of the UK has freed us from that mismanagement. So thanks and lots of prayers to the Prime Minister on behalf of all the people of Tripura. We have shown how to make elections through democracy. The 2023 assembly elections and Buxnagar and Dhanpur by-elections were conducted in a completely neutral and peaceful manner without any incident. History has been created in Tripura through this. The Bharatiya Janata Party and its leadership never support unrest. Today also in the first phase of the elections people took part in the voting process in a festive mood. People voted in orderly queues around. However, some of the opposition leaders are raising various allegations to mislead people about this vote. Because there is no ground under their feet. So they raise these allegations to create confusion as per the plan. And this has become a habit for them.”
