Bijapur Condemning the fake arrests in the name of the Maoist extermination campaign being conducted in the district, the Sarva Adivasi Samaj demanded that it be curbed. District president of Sarva Adivasi Samaj, Jaggu Ram Telami, said the society is receiving complaints that people from rural areas are being seized from their homes, markets, fairs and forests, called Maoists and held for ten to fifteen days at unknown locations in the name of illegal interrogation. Jagguram Telami told that in the meeting of Sarv Adivasi Samaj at Gondwana Bhawan on April 25, arrest of innocent people in the name of Naxal eradication and sending them to jail in cases like UAPA and pressure charges planted in rural areas by Maoists in forest produce collection. Condemning the deaths of the gathered villagers, they demanded that necessary steps be taken.
