Baba Ramdev has filed a petition in the Supreme Court demanding a stay of the criminal prosecution in the case of his alleged comments regarding allopathic medicines during the Covid epidemic. During the hearing of the petition on Friday, the Supreme Court ordered Baba Ramdev to make all the complainants who complained against him a party to the case.

Many complaints were filed against Baba Ramdev’s statement

IMA of Patna and Raipur filed a complaint against Baba Ramdev in 2021. The complaint said that Baba Ramdev’s alleged comments made people disillusioned with allopathic medicines and people did not get proper treatment. That’s why it was difficult to control Corona. When they heard Baba Ramdev’s petition, the bench of Justice M.M. Sundarsh ​​and Judge P.B. and Rala asked the complainants to take sides. The court adjourned the hearing of the case after the summer vacation.

The lawyer appearing in the court on behalf of the Bihar government said that he needs time to file his reply in this case. Baba Ramdev has made the Central Government, Bihar Government, Chhattisgarh Government and IMA parties to his petition. Baba Ramdev said in one of his statements in 2021 that he does not believe in allopathic medicines. Angered by Baba Ramdev’s statement, many cases were registered against him. The yoga guru demanded a delay in the investigation of the criminal proceedings against him.
