Sheikh Ismail, who served free tea and coffee to pilgrims for 40 years in Medina, has died.
Sheikh Ismail, aged 96, was from the city of Hama in Syria and had lived in Madinah for 50 years.
Sheikh Ismail used to offer free hot tea or coffee in disposable cups to every pilgrim who came to Medina.

These Syrian elders sometimes offered the pilgrims the traditional sweets of their homeland.
Sheikh Ismail also used to give free perfume to the pilgrims and distributed free dates daily.
