The sunflower oil export estimate for the 2023/24 season was increased by experts to 5.6 million tons (+4% to the April estimate; -1% to the 2022/23 MR). However, considering that about 79% of the forecast has already been released, a significant decrease in monthly shipment volumes is expected until the end of the season.
Therefore, the decrease in the export of this product already in the months of May-August of the current season may be caused by a decrease in the processing of sunflower against the background of the depletion of its reserves, in the whole country in early May.
