Jajpur: Five passengers were killed and more than 40 seriously injured as a result of a bus accident in which the driver lost control and fell down from the flyover in Odisha.

This massive accident happened in Jajpur district of Odisha on Monday, this bus which was going to Kolkata in West Bengal fell from the flyover in Jajpur district of Odisha on Monday night. Five people, including a woman, died in the accident. Furthermore, it is learned that 40 people have been seriously injured.

Currently, the seriously injured have been admitted to various hospitals in the city, and the dead bodies of the deceased have been handed over to their family members after post-mortem examination. The police and other rescue teams arrived at the scene soon after the incident took place and many injured admitted to the hospital and were part of the rescue operation.

According to information from police officials, the bus was carrying 50 passengers traveling from Puri to Kolkata when the accident took place on Barabati Bridge on National Highway-16 around 9 pm. The Inspector in charge of the Dharamshala police station, Tapan Kumar Naik, said that four men and one woman died in the accident. About 40 people were injured, 30 of whom were admitted to SCB Medical College Hospital, Cuttack.

It is said that 5 people died including a woman and around 50 passengers sitting in the bus. This bus was going from Puri, Odisha to Kolkata. By now he had reached Jajpur in Odisha. An accident happened where he fell from an overpass. This incident created a stir in the area. People immediately reported the matter to the police. Efforts to rescue the injured began from inside. Four men and one woman died tragically in the accident.
