Ahmedabad: A major accident took place on the Ahmedabad-Vadodara expressway near Nadiad town in Gujarat’s Kheda district on Wednesday. In the accident, the lorry collided with a speeding car. It is known that 10 people were in that car at the time of the accident. All lost their lives.
According to the police, eight people were found dead in the car during the rescue. But 2 were still alive. They both died on the way to hospital.
Kirit Chowdhury, Inspector of Nadiad Rural Police Station, said the vehicle was going from Vadodara to Ahmedabad. At that time, the car collided with the back of the lorry on the expressway.

Eight people died at the scene of the accident, and two others died while being taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance. Local people started rescue work.
Nadiad MLA Pankaj Desai said that the truck suddenly shifted to the left lane of the expressway. The truck driver may have lost control due to some mechanical fault. That is why the car driver did not have enough time to apply the brakes.

Ahmedabad-Baroda Expressway is the busiest road in Gujarat. The accident caused a long traffic disruption. As a result, ordinary people face problems in reaching their destination.
