Severe heat wave in four countries, the temperature exceeds 43 degrees, the meteorological department issued an alert Achi-News

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday issued a heat wave alert in four states of the country for the next two days. These states are Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and West Bengal, which recorded temperatures above 42 degrees Celsius on Saturday.

According to meteorologists, similar conditions will continue here for the next 3-4 days, apart from Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra also recorded temperatures around 42 degrees. The IMD issued a two-day orange alert for Odisha and West Bengal on Saturday. Although an alert has been issued for the next five days for Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

Meanwhile, many countries are facing extreme heat. In some districts of Odisha, the temperature touched 45 degrees Celsius, while Baripada district recorded a temperature of 45.2 degrees Celsius on Saturday. The first wave of extreme heat also scorched parts of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Gujarat.

On the other hand, Aripara in the northern region of western Odisha remains the hottest place. Where the maximum temperature was recorded at 45.2 degrees Celsius while the mercury crossed 43 degrees at 10 places. The first death due to heat wave occurred on Friday in Balsur district of Odisha. Midnapore and Bankura in West Bengal recorded temperatures of 44.5 and 44.6 degrees Celsius. Similarly, Jharkhand’s Daltonganj and Jamshedpur recorded maximum temperatures of 43.6 and 43.5 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, the temperature touched 43 degrees Celsius in Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh.

Considering the scorching heat in Bihar, the Patna district administration has changed the school timings from Saturday. At least 11 places in the state crossed 42 degrees Celsius, the meteorological department said. It has been reported that there will be intense heat in many parts of Bihar in the coming days. Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh is in the grip of a heat wave, with several cities recording maximum temperatures of over 40 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, Prayagraj remained the hottest in the state with the day’s temperature reaching 43.6 degrees Celsius, 3.7 degrees above normal. The IMD has predicted a heat wave.

The meteorological department predicted an increase in hot days throughout the country. On the other hand, it is expected to remain for the next 4 to 8 days as opposed to the usual one to three days in April. The IMD estimated that the heat wave may last 10-20 days in the country, with some areas facing scorching conditions for more than 20 days.
