Russia said it was thoroughly verifying and discussing Azerbaijan’s media reports about alleged arms supplies to Ukraine. “All information about the possible delivery of weapons to the Kyiv regime is being thoroughly checked,” said a Russian foreign ministry spokesman. Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova made the comments when asked for comment on reports about the matter. Recent media reports claimed that Baku supplied Ukraine with anti-aircraft guns and mortar shells through the grain corridor in 2022-2023. Meanwhile, the Russian foreign Ministry spokesman also criticized the “hypocrisy” of Moldovan Defense Minister Anatolie Nosatii. Zakharova was referring to Nosatii’s comment that Moldovan soldiers are in the “so-called” International Territorial Defense Legion of Ukraine.
