Ram Navami is celebrated on the ninth day of Chaitra Navratri to mark the birth anniversary of Lord Sri Rama in Ayodhya.

1. Ram Mandir of Ayodhya
According to Hindu mythology, Ayodhya is believed to be the birthplace of Lord Sri Rama. The Ram Mandir was inaugurated on January 22, 2024 after the Prana Pratistha ceremony. This temple can be said to be celebrating its first Ramanavami this year.
As part of Ram Navami, the puja decorations are expected to be grand. The entire city of Ayodhya is illuminated with lights and processions of Lord Rama are also organized.
2. Ramaja Temple in Madhya Pradesh
Located in Orchha, Madhya Pradesh, Ramaja Temple follows the story of how the queen of Orchha wanted to worship Lord Rama in the form of a boy.
According to the official Madhya Pradesh Tourism website, this is “the only temple in the country where Lord Rama is worshiped as a king.”
3. Sita Ramachandra Swamy Temple in Telangana
Swamy Seetha Ramachandra Temple in Telangana is located at Bhadrachalam in Bhadradri Kothagudem District. Lord Rama, Sita Devi and Lakshmana are believed to have stayed at Parnashala, 35 km from Bhadrachalam.
4. Ramaswamy Temple in Tamil Nadu
The Ramaswamy Temple at Kumbakonam in Tamil Nadu was begun during the reign of King Achyutappa Nayaka (1560-1614) of the Thanjavur Nayakas and was completed during the reign of Raghunath Nayaka (1600-34).
According to the official Kerala Tourism website, the Ramaswamy Temple in Tamil Nadu is known as the Ayodhya of South India.
5. Ram Mandir of Odisha
Located in the city of Kharvela near Bhubaneswar, Odisha, this Ram Mandir was established in 1979. According to the Odisha Tourism website, there are a total of seven temples here.
Devotees visit these temples in large numbers on special occasions and festivals to offer prayers to the deity.
